PHILIPPINE BOOTH AT THE TOURISM FAIR IN UTRECHT, THE NETHERLANDS

2006 – Philippine Ambassador to the Hague, Netherlands Romeo A. Arguelles
(4th from R) takes pride in the Philippine booth at the Vakantiebeurs
(Tourism Fair for Trade and Public) held from 9 to 15 January 2006 in Utrecht.
Ambassador Arguelles said the Philippine booth presented the country as
an ideal tourist destination for the Dutch public and rectified perceived
notions of the public on the safety and security aspects of the Philippines.
Joining Ambassador Arguelles are (from left to right): Mr. Arnold
Gonzalez (DOT Frankfurt), Mr. Ton Hagelaar (CBI Consultant), Mrs. Josefina
Joven (President and General Manager of Annset Holidays, Inc.), Madame
Azucena Arguelles, Mr. William Reynders (CBI Consultant), Mr. Gerben
Hardeman (Project Manager of the VNU Exhibitions) and Consul Leila Lora-Santos.
Mrs. Joven, the only private sector participant in the fair, said the Philippine
booth welcomed a substantial number of potential clients. Philippine
participation was made possible through the sponsorship of the Dutch Center
for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries or CBI.
