AMBASSADOR REYES MEETS WITH OFW SURVIVORS
OF THE SUNKEN VESSEL MV ALEXANDROS T

11 May 2006, Pretoria, South Africa— Philippine Ambassador to South Africa Virgilio A. Reyes, Jr. (5th, L) leads Embassy officials in sending off at the Johannesburg International Airport the six Filipino seafarers who survived the sinking of their cargo ship the MV Alexandros T.  Ambassador Reyes met the OFWs who arrived from Durban City on their way to the Philippines where they are scheduled to arrive on 12 May 2006 at 8:20 p.m. aboard EK33.  Ambassador Reyes was accompanied by Embassy Administrative Officer Helen R. Firme-Subido (1st, L),  and ATN Officer Atty. Eduardo M. Vinuya, Jr. (2nd, L) and Capt. German M. Mendez (4th, L), Crewing Manager of the manning agency Inter-Orient Maritime Enterprises.
