FILIPINO-AMERICANS IN NEW HAMPSHIRE REACQUIRE PHILIPPINE CITIZENSHIP

2006 – Deputy Consul General Melita Sta. Maria-Thomeczek of the Philippine
Consulate General in New York administers the Oath of Allegiance to Filipino
Americans who have reacquired their Philippine citizenship under the Dual
Citizenship Law. The oath taking of the Filipinos coincided
with the visit on 13 May 2006 of the consular team to New Hampshire.
The consular team, headed by Deputy Consul General Thomeczek with the assistance
of Consul Millicent Cruz-Paredes and several consulate staff, processed
applications for passport, issued visas, legalized documents and also accepted
applications for dual citizenship and overseas absentee voting.
