24 May 2006 – Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Virgina A. Benavidez (2nd R), conveys her appreciation to the Filipino community leaders who turned over their donations amounting to B$ 1,850 (around PhP 59,200) for the landslide victims in Southern Leyte.  The  simple turn-over ceremony was held at the Philippine Embassy Chancery on 28 April 2006. Joining the Ambassador are Filipino Full Gospel Church Pastor Hee Kiong Lau and Mrs. Darlene Lau, Mrs. Liza Belinario of Zura Travel, Mr. Edwin Bantigue of Norain Boutique Trading Sdn. Bhd, Filipino entrepreneurs Ms. Honey Estrera, Ms. Remedios Castillo and Philippine Embassy officers and staff.
