Philippine madrigal singers enthrall nordic audiences
 

29 May 2006 – The Philippine Madrigal Singers – the Madz – performs at the 188-year old House of Nobility in downtown Helsinki, Finland as part of their concert tour of Sweden and Finland.  Dr. Petri Ruutu, a former Finnish chorister and organizer of the Helsinki concert, remarked that the Madz’ performance was “solid platinum.”  This sentiment was shared by the rest of the Madz’ Finnish audience, the majority of whom were experts in choral music, as evidenced by an atypical standing ovation given by the Finns to the choral group.
