12 May 2006 – Philippine Ambassador to the United States Albert del Rosario announced that the dates and venues for the “Bayan Ko, Bahay Ko” roadshow have been set, paving the way for increased investments and remittances coming from Filipinos in the US.
Ambassador del Rosario said Philippine property developers will visit six key US cities between 14 May and 4 June this year. The roadshow will begin in Honolulu (14 May), and proceed to Los Angeles (17 & 18 May), San Francisco (20 May), Chicago (24 May), New York (30 & 31 May) and end in Washington, D. C. (3 & 4 June).
“Through the ‘Bayan Ko, Bahay Ko’ program, the Embassy and the Consulates in the United States will bring together Philippine property developments and interested investors from the Filipino community, and through this partnership, we will be bringing to the Filipinos in the United States important opportunities to invest in the lives of our people back home and future of our country,” Ambassador del Rosario said.
Ambassador del Rosario stated that the dates and venues for the ‘Bayan Ko, Bahay Ko’ roadshow have been set and that many Filipinos in the United States are eagerly looking forward to seeing the roadshow in their cities. “The groundwork has been laid, our plans are set, and the dates and venues for the roadshow are all firmed up,” Ambassador del Rosario said in announcing the holding of the roadshow.
The ‘Bayan Ko, Bahay Ko’ program, an initiative of the Philippine Embassy and Consulates General in the United States, is designed to bring together Philippine property developers and Filipinos in the US.
“This is a program that will harness the collective energies of our Embassy, Consulates, the property development sector and the Filipino communities in the United States,” Ambassador del Rosario said.
He stated, “we are very fortunate to have the major property developers joining our ‘Bayan Ko, Bahay Ko’ Program,” adding that having major property developers in the program “allows for the widest choices, the best terms and the most value for Filipinos interested in investing in condominiums, apartments and even houses in the Philippines.”
According to the Ambassador, the property developers that will be participating in the program are Ayala Land, Brittany Corp., Burgundy Realty Corp., Cityland Development Corp., Crown Asia Properties, Inc., Daiichi Properties & Development, Landco Pacific Corp, Ledesco Development Corp., Federal Land, Inc., Filinvest Land, Inc., Megaworld International, Pacific Concord Properties, Inc., Tagaytay Pacific Heights, Inc., and The Lakeshore Marketing Corporation.

“Bayan Ko, Bahay Ko” program was formally launched by Foreign Affairs Secretary
Alberto G. Romulo on March 28, 2006 at the Philippine Embassy in Washington.
