a short stint with the Royal Air Force, Mr. Aicock devoted his time to business
ventures, during which he became an active member of several trade associations
in

1990, he was appointed Philippine Honorary Consul. The following year, he became
vice President of the Wirral Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and later in
2000, as its President.
In
2004, Mr. Aicock was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)
by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the community in North
West England and his support for the Wirral business community. Mr.
Aicock was the only honorary consul given such an award by the British monarch.
In
early 2005, Mr. Aicock was given a commendation by Ambassador Espiritu for his
exemplary services to the Filipino communities in
Mr. Aicock, who is survived by his wife Joy, was 86 years old. END
