of ban on deployment of workers to Iraq as foreign
companies recruit workers

23 April 2007 — Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs Esteban B. “I would like to remind our fellow Filipinos, especially those who wish to work abroad, that the Government’s ban on the deployment of Filipino workers to Iraq still stands.  This ban is in force to ensure that our nationals are protected, and that they are not exposed to undue harm,” Undersecretary Conejos said.
