PHILIPPINE MEDICAL
TOURISM PROMOTION IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
17 December 2007 – The Philippine Embassy in Prague, in cooperation with US-based high technology GlobeTek Pro, sponsored a medical tourism presentation entitled “Medical Tourism for Health and Beauty: The Challenges of Cell Regeneration Technology.” Dr. Samuel D. Bernal, M.D., Ph.D., J.D., M.B.A. gave the presentation. The event was held on 12 December 2007 at The Melting Spot. It was well attended by interested Czech clients.
The medical presentation hopes to inform invited guests from the Czech community, including local trade and tourism organizations, as well as the members of the local media on the emergence of the Philippines as a market for medical tourism and the new advances and applications of cell regeneration technology afforded by Philippine medical facilities and organizations.
Dr. Bernal earned his degrees and awards from the University of Illinois, University of Chicago, John Hopkins Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston University, Cambridge University, Pepperdine University, and Loyola University Law School. He is currently involved in research on the use of stem cells and vaccines for Cancer Therapy for Regenerative Medicine and serves as Consultant Director at The Medical City, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Lung Center of the Philippines and St. Luke’s Medical Hospital in the Philippines among a list of his accreditations and accomplishments.
