PHILIPPINE
IN BRINGING LIQUIDS, GELS, AEROSOLS BY AIR TRAVELERS
22
February 2007 – Philippine Ambassador to Korea Susan O. Castrence warns
Filipinos that effective 1 March 2007, the following security control guidelines
released by the Korean government will be implemented concerning liquids, gels
and aerosols being brought by air travelers, including transit passengers, in
their carry-on-bags departing from Korea:
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in 100 milliliters (100ml) or smaller containers. Containers exceeding 100 ml are prohibited;
All containers containing liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in one-liter size resealable (zip-top type) transparent plastic bag (approximately 20cm x 20cm in dimension) and completely sealed (zipped);
Each passenger is allowed only one (1) resealable transparent plastic bag. Bags bigger than one-liter in size are not allowed;
Defective
bags that cannot be sealed (zipped) will not be allowed, and excess containers
will be removed to enable the bag to be sealed. The excess containers removed
from the resealable transparent bag will not be permitted to be carried onboard.
Liquids, gels and aerosols for medical purpose of the passenger or baby (e.g. baby formulas, breast milk, beverages) intended to be used during the flight are allowed;
Liquids, gels and aerosols purchased at airport duty free shops after passing the Screening Check Point or purchased at duty free shops in the city and delivered at the airport's duty free pick-up counters are allowed under the following conditions:
Liquids, gels and aerosols must be packed in a sealed transparent plastic bag (tamper-evident bag);
The tamper-evident bag must not be opened or damaged until the passenger has boarded the out-bound aircraft;
Receipts of the purchased duty-free items must be properly attached on or enclosed in the tamper-evident bag.
Inquiries may be directed to the Aviation Security Division at 82-2-2669-6373/6374, or to their website at www.casa.go.kr. END
