Moving RP – Portugal Partnership Furth er Forward

8 June 2007 — Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo and Foreign Minister Luis Felipe Marques Amado of Portugal, the incoming President of the European Union, reaffirm the Philippines and Portugal ’s commitment to further expand relations and advance shared aspirations for greater peace, progress and prosperity in both bilateral and international fora.  Secretary Romulo and Minister Amado met in Lisbon recently during President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s Working Visit to Portugal .  The Philippines currently holds the Chairmanship of the ASEAN Standing Committee.  END
