Specifically, the Policy Consultations will tackle foreign policy concerns and avenues for stronger inter-agency and public-private cooperation in the areas of economic security, national security, and the promotion and protection of the welfare of Filipinos overseas

Top officials from partner agencies such as NEDA, DTI, DOT, DOLE, AFP, NICA, OPAPP, NCCA and OP have been invited to discuss areas for cooperation and priority projects for promotion abroad.

Prominent personalities from the private sector will also be in attendance to provide ideas on how Posts can tie-up with RP businesses and organizations to improve services for OFWs and promote niche areas where the country is globally competitive such as medical tourism, mining, and BPOs.

To formally open the event, DFA Secretary Alberto G. Romulo will host a Welcome Dinner tomorrow for all the participants and guests at the Emperor Court of the Renaissance Hotel.
