2ND PHILIPPINES-MYANMAR POLICY CONSULTATIONS  

8 November 2007—Philippine Ambassador to Yangon Noel C. Cabrera reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that upon the invitiation of Myanmar Deputy Foreign Minister U Kyaw Thu, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Policy Enrique A. Manalo visited Myanmar for the 2nd Philippines-Myanmar Policy Consultations held last 21 October at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw-Myanmar’s new administrative capital. They discussed matters related to the promotion of mutual interests and concerns, bilateral cooperation, including a discussion on regional developments.  

 

  

 

 

On 21 October 2007, Undersecretary Enrique A. Manalo called on Myanmar Foreign Minister U Nyan Win, after the 2nd Philippines-Myanmar Policy Consultations held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw – Myanmar's new administrative capital.

 

 

   

 

At the sidelines of the 2nd Philippines-Myanmar Policy Consultations held in Nay Pyi Taw, Undersecretary Enrique A. Manalo called on Myanmar Deputy Minister for Commerce Brigadier General Aung Tun on October 22, 2007. The promotion of bilateral trade and commerce between the Philippines and Myanmar was discussed during the call.

 

 

   

 

 

At the sidelines of the 2nd Philippines-Myanmar Policy Consultations held in Nay Pyi Taw, Undersecretary Enrique A. Manalo called on Myanmar Minister for Hotels and Tourism Maj. Gen. Soe Naing on October 22, 2007. Ways of promoting the hotel and tourism industry and enhancing people-to-people exchanges were discussed during the call.
