PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL CONDUCTS MOBILE CONSULAR SERVICES IN TURIN, ITALY 

6 November 2007—The Philippine Consulate General in Milan reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that it conducted Mobile Consular and Related Services in Turin, Italy last 28 October 2007. 

In coordination with the Filipino Community Association in Turin headed by its President, Mr. Candida Formarejo, Jr,_r the event gave the Consulate Team the opportunity to interact with the Filipino community and extend assistance in tbeii" consular,, legal and other concerns. The Consulate Mobile Team processed and released 141 passports and received almost 50 documents, requiring notarials, such as Affidavits and Special Powers of Attorney. 

In other fronts, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) assisted some 102 ovsrseas workers in Turin in renewing their OWWA membership. Representatives of the Social Security System (883) and Pag-Ibig Fund were also on hand to register new members, renew the membership of old members and address the various queries of the community regarding SSS and Pag-lbig. 

The Consulate Team, headed by Vice Consul Mary Luck S, Hicarte, will hold Mobile Consular Services in Bologna on 11 November 2007, and in Padova. on 25 November 2007, END.
