WALL STREET INTERVIEWS RP ENVOY ON INVESTMENT ANALYSIS

23 November 2007 – Philippine Ambassador Cristina Ortega was recently interviewed by the Wall Street Market Research on the Philippines’ business climate, foreign direct investment, and trade potential, and the country’s image abroad. The publication’s objective is to do an investment analysis of the Philippines featuring the country’s untapped investment potentials in one of its issues.

In an interview held on 09 November 2007, Ambassador Ortega briefed Wall Street’s Sophie Bianciotto and Amir Berkovitz concerning significant developments in the country’s  economic sectors,  which included trade and industry, agriculture, finance and consulting, information technology, transport and construction, and tourism.

First Secretary and Consul Roy B. Ecraela and Commercial Attache Mr. Michael Alfred V. Ignacio were present during the interview.

Mr. Biancotto and Mr. Berkovitz will be in Manila on 13 November 2007, to interview key personalities in the government and the private sector for Wall Street’s forthcoming issue on the Philippines.
