ROMULO ADDRESSES FRENCH NGO CONFERENCE , URGES STRONGER GOVERNMENT – NGO COOPERATION

 

 

 

  

  19 October 2007 PARIS – Members of French NGOs listen intently to Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo during his address at the Journee des ONG Francaises des Philippines, a conference of French NGOS working in the Philippines held here.  Secretary Romulo lauded NGOs for their demonstrated commitment and contributions to nation building and urged stronger partnership between Government and NGOs towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.  An estimated 200 members of French NGOs based in the Philippines attended the conference held at the historic French Economic and Social Council.
