PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN AGANA HOLDS SECOND POST-ARRIVAL ORIENTATION SEMINAR

 

09 April 2008 - Top photo shows Director Walter Haith of the Citizenship and Immigrant Services of the Department of Homeland Security giving a briefing before some 70 newly-arrived Filipino immigrants and workers (lower photo) at the 2nd Post Arrival Orientation Seminar organized by the Philippine Consulate General last Saturday, 05 April, at the Dededo Community Center. The representatives of the Department of Health and Social Services, UOG's Low Income Tax Clinic, Victims Advocates Reaching Out, Allied Bank, Metrobank, Philippine National Bank and the Bank of Guam who also gave presentations on the services extended by their respective institutions to immigrants and H-2 workers.

 

The 1st Post Arrival Orientation Seminar for Newly Arrived Filipino Immigrants and Workers was held in October 2007. The Philipine Consulate General plans to hold the 3rd seminar in 6 months time. END
