14 April 2008 - During celebrations conducted at the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. to commemorate the “Araw ng Kagitingan” (Day of Valor) on 09 April, officials and representatives from the Asian-American Justice Center, Organization of Chinese-Americans and the Japanese-American Veterans Association expressed their support for the Filipino WWII veterans and for the efforts to have a Filipino Veterans Equity Bill passed by the U.S. Congress.
