FILIPINO AMONG THE EIGHT PARTICIPANTS IN THE INTERNATIONAL COURSE ON |

22 April 2008—Third Secretary and Vice Consul Thaddeus T. Hamoy (right photo, R) represented the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv in the closing ceremonies of the international course on Eliminating Rural Poverty: the Israel Development Experience, on 17 April 2008 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Beer Sheva, wherein Mr. Teodoro S. Saloysoy, Ph.D., (in Barong Filipino), Assistant Director of the Bureau of Agricultural Research of the Department of Agriculture, was among the eight participants. The course was sponsored and organized by The Negev Institute for Strategies of Peace and Development (NISPED), an Israeli NGO. In his remarks, Vice Consul Hamoy thanked NISPED for reaching out and sharing its resources with other countries. Vice Consul Hamoy also assured Dr. Saloysoy that the Embassy will assist him in establishing contacts between the Bureau and concerned Israeli government offices and other institutions. END
