RP ENVOY PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO RUSSIAN PRESIDENT |

24 April 2008 – Philippine Ambassador to Moscow Victor Garcia III presented his credentials to Russian President Vladimir Putin at ceremonies held at the Kremlin Palace on 22 April 2008.
President Putin stated “we believe that it is important to exploit more effectively the potential for mutual cooperation between Russia and the Republic of the Philippines. I am confident that together we will be able to give a serious impetus to our joint initiatives and projects.”
Ambassador Garcia expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the President’s statement, and conveyed the best wishes of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
President Putin expressed support for Ambassador Garcia’s mission in Moscow. END.
