PHILIPPINE CENTER TAKES UP GOLDEN GATE CHALLENGE IN PRESIDIO 10 RACE |
|
15 April 2008 - Geared towards “a healthy body, healthy mind” philosophy, Team Philippine Center took up its third team run in the Presidio 10 benefit race held at the Presidio in San Francisco on 6 April 2008.
Team leader and Philippine Deputy Consul General to San Francisco Antonio Morales, along with other officers and staff of the Philippine Consulate General, endeavors to promote and encourage colleagues as well as the greater Filipino American community to seek a balance between the stressful and fast paced working environment in the Bay Area and a healthy and active lifestyle. Deputy Consul General Morales added, “the Consulate and its entire staff are personally committed in supporting socially relevant causes and activities, like the ancient Latin adage ‘Mens sana in corpore sano,’ we believe that a healthy body produces or sustains a healthy mind.”
Presidio 10 is one of the Bay Area’s foremost and highly anticipated running events. The annual family-oriented run is organized by and to benefit The Guardsmen and The Ashlyn Dyer foundation of San Francisco and its many cause oriented socio-civic programs and projects. END |
