13 February 2008 - Officials of the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur (Labor Attaché Josephus B. Jimenez shown) gave a briefing to an 18-member delegation from the Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines (PBMLP) headed by the Honorable Pearl Angeli Pacada of Tarlac (seated left front row).  In his remarks, Ambassador Victoriano M. Lecaros said that visits of local government officials have given the Embassy the opportunity to share the Embassy’s mission and functions, not only on RP-Malaysia relations, but also on the protection of overseas Filipinos as one of the pillars of Philippine foreign policy.  The Embassy briefing included topics on political and economic, labor, consular and assistance-to-nationals (ATN) matters delivered by First Secretary & Consul Anne J. Louis, Third Secretary & Vice Consul Shirlene C. Mananquil, and Social Welfare Attaché Nestor B. Ramos.  The visiting delegation, composed of Tarlac and Negros Oriental Provincial Board Members, was in Malaysia on a study visit from 11 to 13 February 2008. END
