26 February 2008 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that in commemoration of the 22^nd Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, a flag Raising Ceremony was held at the Embassy grounds on 25 February 2008. 

Gracing the event were the Consulate officials and staff, and the distressed workers housed  in OWWA’s Filipino Worker’s Resource Center. The participants was joined by the stranded male OFWs who sought shelter at the Consulate in early February 2008. 

Consul General Ezzedin Tago stated that as a special non-working holiday, he thought best   to celebrate the special occasion by serving nationals needing services, most specially the cases of stranded workers. END.
