PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN BRUSSELS COMMEMORATES THE 22ND ANNIVERSARY OF EDSA PEOPLE POWER REVOLUTION |

27 February 2008 – Philippine Ambassador to Belgium Cristina G. Ortega led the celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution on February 26 at the Bulwagan ng mga Pangulo conference room of the Philippine Embassy in Brussels.
A flag ceremony, Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat at Panunumpa ng Kawani ng Gobyerno commenced the celebration.
Ambassador Ortega then delivered the briefer prepared by the EDSA People Power Commission Commissioner Mr. A.R. Magno before the Embassy personnel. The briefer highlighted that it is the “strong sense of community that we are celebrating. That strong sense of community that will empower us, will build our capacities, will make heroes of us all.”
A Filipino breakfast concluded the celebration. END |
