PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN VIENNA OBSERVES 22ND ANNIVERSARY OF PEOPLE POWER REVOLUTION OF 1986 |

28 February 2008 - The Philippine Embassy in Vienna, Austria, commemorated the 22nd Anniversary of the People Power Revolution of 1986, in simple rites held at the Chancery on 25 February.
A reflection on the continuing relevance of the Filipino values that underpinned the EDSA Revolution followed, touched off by a reading of the essay “Reaffirming the Vision: A Community of Peace, A Nation in Progress” by Commissioner Alex R. Magno of the EDSA People Power Commission, and the screening of a video documentary on the signal events of 1986 at the Chancery’s Rizal Reading Room. END
