RP-US FRIENDSHIP FURTHER REAFFIRMED   

Singapore, 23 July 2008 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo met with United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at the sidelines of the 41^st ASEAN Ministerial Meeting and related meetings today. 

The two Ministers discussed a range of issues including the implementation of a compact agreement with the Philippines, the recent breakthrough developments in the Mindanao peace process and efforts to bring peace and stability to the Middle East.
