PHILIPPINE EMBASSY ROME CELEBRATES THE 110TH ANNIVERSARY OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE WITH THE DIPLOMATIC COMMUNITY |

18 June 2008 - Philippine Ambassador to Italy Philippe J. Lhuillier, joined by Madame Edna Lhuilleir, hosted on 12 June a vin d’honneur for the diplomatic corps in commemoration of the 110th anniversary of Philippine Independence.
The occasion started with a flag-raising ceremony attended by embassy personnel, led by Ambassador Lhuillier, which was followed by the diplomatic reception. Ambassador and Madame Lhuillier were joined by the rest of the embassy officers and staff in welcoming and entertaining close to 200 guests who attended the reception held at the Social Hall of the embassy.
Aside from the diplomatic corps, other guests included Italian government officials, representatives of various businesses, private and civic organizations, and Filipino community leaders. END |
