LOCAL HIRE IN THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN ROME GIVEN POSTHUMOUS RECOGNITION |

12 March 2008 – Philippine Ambassador to Italy Philippe J. Lhuillier awards a posthumous plaque of appreciation to the local hire of the Philippine Embassy in Rome, Ms. Liliana Pacunayen, during a luncheon held in her honor and hosted by Ambassador and Madame Lhuillier at Ristorante La Fenice. Mrs. Pacunayen had been in the embassy’s service as translator/interpreter since 1976 until her retirement in 2005. Mrs. Pacunayen died in October 2007. Mr. Leon Pacunayen, Filipino painter based in Italy and husband of Liliana, received the posthumous award in behalf of the Pacunayen family. END |
