DFA DAY CARE CENTER CELEBRATES 1st “MOVING UP” DAY |

13 March 2008—The Department of Foreign Affairs Day Care Center (DFADCC) celebrated its 1st “moving up” day on 12 March at the Summit Lounge. Administrative Services Division Acting Director Jed Martin A. Llona stood as the Master of Ceremony. The program commenced with an invocation led by Jeshua Carlos Zafra. Ervin Mauricio Gret gave the Welcome Greetings while Assistant Secretary for Personnel and Administrative Services Ma. Corazon Yap-Bahjin delivered the Opening Remarks.
The 17 pioneer students of the DFADCC delighted the audience with their ingenious and candid answers to the unfinished sentence “When I grow up, I want to be a…”, followed by a special action-song number entitled “I Am But A Small Voice”. The awarding of the certificates of attendance and special awards followed. The recipient of the special awards were as follows:

Tongco; Most Cooperative: Christian Daniel Solis; Most Participative: Neil Angelo P. Gascon; Most Articulate: Jeshua Carlo C. Zafra; Most Diligent: Nathaniel D. De Ramos; Most Obedient: Kent Robin Albao; Most Patient: Marcus Patrick Rafael C. Santos; Most Attentive: Jerome E. Donato; Most Persevering: Athan Marttie A. Hipe; Most Industrious: Ervin Mauricio T. Gret; Most Creative: Ingrid Cassandra B. Umipig; Most Responsible: Saima E. Deguro; and Most Inquisitive: Ernest Paul D. Cornejo.
Assistant Secretary Bahjin and Department of Social Welfare and Development National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) Director Thelsa P. Biolena handed the certificates to the children while representatives from the different offices in the department gave out the special awards. DFA Ladies Foundation President Julia C. Heidemann and Director Biolena each imparted inspiring messages.
