AMBASSADOR PETRONILA GARCIA CALLS ON

THE SPEAKER OF THE KNESSET OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL

Philippine Ambassador to the State of Israel Petronila P. Garcia (right), in her first official call on a senior Israeli Government official since she presented her Letters of Credence to H.E. President Shimon Peres of the State of Israel on 19 March 2008, calls on Hon. Dahlia Itzik (left), Speaker of the Knesset.  During her call on 24th March, Ambassador Garcia conveyed to the Speaker the greetings of H.E. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel.  Ambassador Garcia also expressed the Philippine government’s appreciation for the employment opportunities for over 39,000 OFWs in Israel, who enjoy good working conditions.  In response, Speaker Itzik expressed her appreciation for the positive traits of the Filipino people
