TRAVEL ADVISORY: FILIPINO TRAVELERS TO SINGAPORE WARNED ANEW OF TRANSIT/ENTRY RESTRICTIONS
 

17 March 2008 – The Department of Foreign Affairs reiterates its previous warnings to Filipinos bound for Singapore against bringing live bullets or items made from prohibited, illegal, or controlled materials commonly worn by travelling Filipino seafarers as amulets and talismans.

 

The reminder is in connection with the latest incident involving a Filipino national who was found in possession of two (2) live bullets during transit at Changi International Airport. The Filipino national was issued a notice of warning and his passport data were recorded.

 

The travelling public is advised to strictly adhere to the travel restrictions imposed by the Singapore and other governments in this regard. END
