AMBASSADOR FALCON MEETS WITH DR. MARTIN FREI, PRESIDENT OF BAIORDEN SCHWEIZ, IN WIDNAU, ST. GALLEN

31 March 2008 - Philippine Ambassador to Switzerland Minerva Jean A. Falcon met with Dr. Martin Frei, President of Schweizer Bauorden, during her visit to Widnau, St. Gallen on 28 February. Ambassador Falcon thanked Dr. Frei for Schweizer Bauorden’s continued support and donation to Philippine projects in the Philippines. Schweizer Bauorden is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide humanitarian assistance and support to underprivileged communities and organizations to different countries.
During a breakfast hosted by Dr. Frei, he said that Schweizer Bauorden is currently providing assistance in the construction of a church in the town of Kitaotao, Bukidnon in the Philippines. He said that his organization will endeavor to support construction and renovation work of social and religious institutions in the Philippines. Likewise, Ambassador Falcon commended Dr. Frei for his valuable contribution to the development and construction projects for underprivileged communities in the Philippines. As a token of appreciation, Ambassador Falcon handed Dr. Frei a complimentary copy of the commemorative book “Highlights of Relations between the Philippines and Switzerland.” END
