6 May 2008—Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto G. Romulo hold bilateral talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sisoulith Thongloun of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR). The two foreign ministers discussed ways by which the Philippines and Laos could further cooperate in advancing the objectives of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), including the early realization of the ASEAN Community.
